Amada, Inc.

This 140,000 s.f. structure is the Midwest Headquarters for a Japanese company that designs and produces sheet metal fabrication equipment for American Industry. It is Amada’s central administrative, training and marketing hub. The architectural design embraces Amada’s proclivity for intelligent, dynamic, innovative design. Encased in a canted glass envelope, the facility’s 50,000 s.f. showroom provides a dramatic venue to demonstrate the company’s latest, massive, laser cutting equipment. This lively structure is anchored by masonry-walled “wings” that define the balance of the building’s footprint. These wings house a 100-seat auditorium, training rooms, offices, VIP rooms, conference rooms, dining hall, and a spectacular 2-story atrium with a monumental stair.
